Today, I am going to post something very important stuff, which each and every Search Engine Optimizer (SEO) has to perform while working on any project and that is “Website Analysis”.

There are many factors which an SEO need to consider while doing the Website Analysis of any SEO project. I urge you to please be very attentive while making this report as it would be your first report for that website, which will built your impression in clients mind. So let me explain you each one in brief:

Website Live PR: This is very important factor to be mentioned in the Website Analysis report, as this is the one factor which every non-SEO savy people understand for their website. Though, this factor has not remained very important now for getting SERP ranking or online business. But it is must to be mention in report.

Age of Domain: This is something which is very important to mention in website analysis report, as it will give you clear idea, when website was launched and how long it has been into internet world. Older the domain, it’s easy to get ranking.

Pages Indexed: It is worth to mention in your website analysis report that how many pages of your website are currently indexed by different search engines and how many are not or in supplementary.

Link Popularity: You can also mention in your report that how many back links are crawled and indexed by different search engines. You can check this by hitting “site:www.yourdomain.com” command in the search bar of SE. (note: Google shows only sample backlinks, so don’t rely on it also. Yahoo give more accurate result for it.)

Present Ranking: It is also recommend to analyze and mention in report, if your website is ranking for any relevant keywords or not, if yes on which position.

Internal Navigation: Also check the internal navigation structure of your website and if you have any recommendation related to it, do not forget to mention it in your report. As, it is going to show your hard work.

SEO Friendliness of Website: Check other aspects of website through an SEO eye, like: If unique title is made or not, meta tags are inserted or not, alt tags are there or not, useless or complex coding is there or not, etc.

Designing Factor: Also you can analyze website from visitor point of view and give proper recommendations for making it more appealing, increase conversion ration and easy to navigate.

SEO Recommendations: After analyzing all the factors, do not forget to recommend proper solutions to overcome from these problems. Please take very good care and homework properly before recommending anything to your client, as it will affect your image in your client’s mind.
