Yahoo Launched Ymail

Filed Under (Yahoo) by dominatingseo on 27-06-2008

I have just come across and article from Yahoo! about announcement of their new Ymail.com domain, with all the facilities that Yahoo.com users have, the only thing difference would be the domain name.

Ymail.com domain will allow a whole new range of email addresses to be registered. Now, new and existing both users can join in the bun fight and try to grab a more memorable email address, as well as still having access to unlimited storage, integrated Instant Messaging, spam protection, and an ID that works across all of Yahoo!’s other services.

According to George Hadjigeorgiou, General Manager of Communication and Community Products at Yahoo! Europe, this new domain name will “allow more people to get the email addresses they really want”, which in turn will “provide them with a brilliant starting point for their daily online experience”.

After the launch, I have created my new email id in Ymail.com. My new email id is “dominatingseo@ymail.com”.

Before someone else grab email id in your name you get it by singing up in www.Ymail.com. Go to sign up, provide your personal details and while choosing your username click on drop down besides the username to choose Ymail (as shown in below image).

That’s it, you have made it with Ymail. Enjoy with Yahoo!

Landing Page Load Time affects Keywords Quality Scores

Filed Under (Adwords) by dominatingseo on 21-06-2008

Landing Page Vs. Quality ScoreOn June 18, 2008 Google Adwords Blog has announced that the load time factor of landing page will be incorporated into keywords’ Quality Scores.

In the early March Google announced that they are soon going to include one additional factor into calculating Quality Score for the keywords in Google Adwords. The factor which they were going to include for calculating quality score is page loading time of landing page. This factor is going to evaluate the exact loading time of the landing page (the page which is displayed, when visitor clicks you ad), where loading time is defined as the amount of time taken for a user to see the landing page.

Google is always concern and focused about the user experience. At Google, their users should always get what they are finding for at the lowest efforts. Google’ top most priority is good user experience. Google’s founder, Larry and Sergey has articulated a philosophy “Fast is better than slow.” And in same reference Google has announced the launch of new factor of loading time of landing page in Google Adwords.

Google thinks that when a user clicks an ad, a landing page that loads quickly provides a better user experience than a landing page that loads slowly. The keywords with landing pages that load slowly may display lower quality scores and thus result in higher minimum bids. On another hand, keywords with landing pages that load very quickly may get higher Quality Scores and effect in lower minimum bids.

To learn more about load time and landing page quality, please see Google Adwords announcement Post.
