Hell All,
Few days ago, I had a chat with a Google Adwords Specialist regarding targeting multilingual domains in single campaign & using special characters in Ad Taglines, I would like to paste chat for my dearest visitors & who are confused about targeting different domain in a single Adwords login account.
Here the chat goes:
———-
Julia M: Hello, Altaf. Thanks for contacting Google AdWords. I’m happy to help you.
Julia M: I understand you’d like to write ads in Italian, French and German.
Julia M: Is that correct?
Altaf: yes exactly
Julia M: Okay. I’d be happy to show you how to do that.
Altaf: yes, sure that would be a great help
Julia M: You have a couple of options. You can create separate campaigns that each target a specific language. That way, you can write all of your keywords and ads in Italian for one campaign, in French for another campaign, etc.
Julia M: That will guarantee that your Italian ads will show up for users who have their interface set to Italian, etc.
Julia M: Or, you can put all of the ads in one campaign and target multiple languages.
Julia M: That would mean any of the ads would be eligible to show to any of the languages you targeted.
Altaf: Ok, I am aware about that but what I would like to ask you is, can I use any special characters in ads?
Altaf: like “ref” sign in Café
Julia M: Let me look into that for you Altaf.
Altaf: sure
Julia M: Thank you for your patience, Altaf.
Julia M: You can use the characters in your ad. You’ll just need to be able to type them from your keyboard. We don’t have a menu of the characters available when you’re creating your ad text.
Altaf: ok, I got it
Altaf: and also, I want to know, if I can target ads for different domain from 1 PPC Account
Altaf: domains are location specific
Julia M : Yes, you can advertise different domains with the same account.
Altaf: I have multilingual website, which has 4 domains i.e. www.mydomain.com, www.mydomain.it, www.mydomain.de, www.mydomain.fr
Altaf: can I target each of them from single adword login?
Julia M: I would suggest creating a separate campaign for each of those domains.
Julia M: That’s done within your one account.
Altaf: Yes, that can be done
Altaf: and the special characters are allowed to be mention in ad, provided I write with other software and paste it into Ads. Am I correct ?
Julia M: Yes, that’s correct.
Altaf: Thanks a lot for your help, Julia
Altaf: Have a nice time
Julia M: You’re welcome, Altaf. It was a pleasure chatting with you. If you have any more questions, please feel free to visit our Help Center. You can also print this chat transcript for your records. Have a great day!
