Long back Google added landing page speed as an factor to judge quality score of keyword in Google Adwords (paid advertisement), then after the rumors started that Google is going to adapt same for Organic search results.  Since then I was knowing,  sooner or later Google is going to integrate it as an Organic Search Result factor.

The page speed is predicted to be a search engine ranking factor in 2010. So if you want to rank better in 2010, then quickly speed up your website pages! Check out your web page speed in Google Webmaster Tool.

How to check Page Speed?

  • Login to Google Webmaster Tool (Here I predict you’ve already configured GWT for your website)
  • Now click on your website listing
  • Explore “Labs” option, located on left sidebar
  • Click on Site Performance option inside it

Analyze your web page speed and work on increasing it spead as early as possible. 2010 is not far now!

If you’re using firefox, you can install the Page Speed browser add-on. Also, you’ll get option in footer part on Site performance page in Google Webmaster Tool.
