The days have changed and now the ways to generate online traffic to website have not remained till the traditional link building and affiliated marketing. It’s has become more then that. SMO/SMM (Social Media Marketing) has become very important now to generate additional traffic & increase visibility of the website.

Couple of days before, I started taking interest in Yahoo! Answers for generating additional traffic and increasing visibility of my website. For initial days, it was very interesting for me, as it was new for me. As days started going I kept on loosing my interest, as I became very lusty for points and I was getting only 2 points for each answer.

I have reached to level 2 in just a time span of week but the level three was very far away, still 750 points to reach after 2^nd level. It made me feel very boring. I started research on how to gain points easily in Yahoo Answers. I researched a lot on in and my research made me realize that there are certain tactics or you can call it secrets to increase the point in Y! Answers. Let me narrate few of them quickly for your.

• Answer as much of questions as possible.
• Add as much friends as possible and grow your social network
• Ask question frequently and choose best answer. You’ll be thinking why to ask question if it will lower your points? The answer is:
  • Asking question will deduct 5 points from your total points, but choosing best answer will gain you 3 points back. So you’ll loose only 2 points but can increase visibility at the cost of only 2 points.
  • You can ask question like, “how to increase usability of website?” This will bring traffic to your website (which may be converted sometimes to sale or subscription, thought not much), as all visitors will watch your website at least once to answer your question.
• Last but not least and a very important point is to participate in choosing the best answers by voting (Vote for best answer).
  • Some peoples ask the question but don’t choose best answer for any damn reason, and so the question remains unresolved and goes for choosing best answer by voting.
  • You can go to your answers history and check for unresolved questions and give the vote to yourself for best answer by clicking
  • If no one else vote for any other answer as best answer, then your vote will choose your own answer as best answer (bring you 10 points, bravo!)

I have just realized this last tactic and you’ll be amazed to know that within 10 minutes I have gained 100 points in Yahoo! Answers. You can check it in following image:
