- Back Links: From directories, articles, press releases, refferals etc. but mind it these links should be relevant to your website.
- Keyword Selection: Finding really great niche keywords, also using the words properly by designating pages for only a couple of phrases each.
- Using Attributes: Proper Hierarchy and use of tags.
- Navigation: The website navigation structure should be easy to understand, with proper breadcrumb.
- Code: Many folks don’t realize the importance on NOT using flash, Javascript and images to replace text. Also add here though not as, important CSS and (x)html validation.
- Page Size: There should not be much and heavy images, which makes website to load really slow.
- Professionalism: Website design should look professional and having a unique reason for people to stay at your site, bookmark you etc.
If you done this, you have applied all basic aspects of SEO on website
I have done most of the things that you have mentioned in your article and I see there’s an increase in traffic. Some more things that i have on my list is promotion and some advertisements.
